What is assisted stretching?
Assisted stretching is a guided session in which the practitioner supports your body through controlled stretches. Because you can relax instead of holding every position on your own, the practitioner can focus on alignment, pacing and a comfortable range of motion.
Sessions may include gentle traction and techniques inspired by proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). Every movement is adapted to your feedback; stretching should feel purposeful, never forced.
How a session works
1. Talk through your goals
Share where you feel stiff, what activities matter to you and any health considerations.
2. Check mobility
Erik observes comfortable movement to select an appropriate sequence.
3. Stretch with support
You remain clothed while Erik guides each stretch and checks in about comfort.
4. Leave with next steps
You receive practical guidance for maintaining comfortable movement between visits.
Who may enjoy it?
- Active adults and recreational athletes
- People who spend long hours sitting or standing
- Clients seeking a complement to a general wellness routine
- Anyone who prefers individualized guidance over a group stretch class
Assisted stretching is not physical therapy or medical treatment. Recent injury, surgery, severe pain or a health condition may require clearance from a qualified healthcare professional.
